My name is Nate Hughes and I created Double Stop Designs to help pageantry arts programs bring a complete production to life. From original music and custom arranging to drill, staging, program coordination, and creative design tools, I work across the different parts of the process to help each element serve the same larger idea. From original compositions and custom arranging to drill and staging, Double Stop Designs creates music and visual content with every aspect of the show in mind. Each element is designed to support the others, providing performers a vehicle that will allow them to communicate musically and visually to audiences and judges alike, regardless of venue.
Program Coordination
Great shows are more than a collection of good ideas. Program coordination helps connect concept, music, visual design, pacing, and production choices into one cohesive experience. Whether shaping a show from the beginning or helping refine an existing concept, the focus is always on making every design decision serve the same larger vision.

From collaborative show-planning tools to practical resources for designers and educators, these tools help organize and communicate the various elements that go into making your show come to life.
Designing with each student in mind
As an educator, I view everything I do in the design process through the lens of how the show can best serve the students. The show serves not only as an art piece and a competitive vehicle, but as the curriculum through which we as teachers introduce new concepts, refine skills, and challenge students of all ages to become the best performers they can be.
